Moneda took part in Chile’s Chamber of Commerce Seminar called “The Value of ethics and anti-corruption”


Antonio Gil Nievas, partner and CEO of Moneda Asset Management took part in a panel of investors in the seminar held by the Chilean Chamber of Commerce (CSS) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on May 8th. The seminar was called “The Value of ethics and anti-corruption”, which covered the importance of ethics and anti-corruption from the investors and the company´s point of view. The seminar received more than 400 participants.
 
Antonio Gil Nievas commented about how Moneda has bet for responsible long-term investments, strengthening the integration of ESG factors (environmental, social and corporate governance) in their investment decisions. Additionally, he commented how Moneda was the first asset manager in Chile to subscribe the UN Principles for Responsible Investments, and spoke about the necessity of more diversity, in the broadest sense, within boards of directors. The panel was led by Jeannette Wolffersdorff, director of the Santiago Exchange, and it was also integrated by Ignacio Rodríguez, CIO of Principal Financial Group and Wagner Guida, CEO of Itaú AGF.
